Delphine Preissmann a étudié la psychologie à l’Université de Genève où elle a obtenu en 2003 un Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies de psychologie cognitivo-expérimentale. En 2009, elle a obtenu une thèse de doctorat en neurosciences des Universités de Lausanne et de Genève.

Delphine Preissmann est actuellement Professeure suppléante de psychologie cognitive et de psychophysiologie et responsable de recherche à l’Institut de Psychologie et au Centre de Neurosciences Psychiatriques de l’Université de Lausanne. Elle enseigne depuis 2009 la psychologie cognitive à l’EPFL et les neurosciences à l’Université de Lausanne.

Ses principaux thèmes de recherche concernent l’étude du comportement et de la mémoire en lien avec leurs corrélats cérébraux. Elle étudie dans le cadre du projet de recherche « Reconsolidation et marqueurs somatiques » de la Fondation Agalma, les remaniements des traces mnésiques en fonction de l’état somatique du sujet lors de la réactivation des souvenirs. Ce projet propose de mettre à l’épreuve des stratégies à visée thérapeutique qui reposeraient sur l’exploitation des connaissances récentes sur les mécanismes intervenant dans la consolidation et reconsolidation des associations émotionnelles tout comme dans leurs éventuelles modifications.
